Our Lodi Station Day Out

We were excited to be invited by Lodi Station Outlets to their first blogger event, held on June 18. Lodi Station Outlets is a turn-of-the-century outlet shopping center located an hour south of Cleveland in Lodi, Ohio.
I've been a fan of Lodi Station Outlets for a long time. We make the drive down at least a couple of times a year. With the deals easy to find in Lodi, it wasn’t hard to get me in the car on Saturday.

We started out our day by having lunch at Steam Cafe. The café has a daily special, but we opted for their fresh, homemade sandwiches. The food court also features the eateries you’d expect to find, including Subway and Auntie Anne’s Soft Pretzels.
The star attractions at Lodi Station, besides the shopping, are their two classic trains. They’re very proud of their trains and with good reason. Both engines are from England and each is custom-made. Train buffs will appreciate the traditional 4-4-0 wheel configuration and the fine craftsmanship.
Since my husband works in the rail industry, he was excited to check out the train. We decided to grab a ride before we started shopping. The two-mile ride travels through and around the outlet and is a great way to see what stores are available.
After the ride, I wanted to bolt straight to Bath and Body Works Outlet. My husband had different plans and managed to get us into two of Lodi Station’s kitchen outlets.
The Corningware Corelle Revere Factory Store had a great selection of Lodge cast iron cookware. We started using Lodge a year ago and it’s easily the best cast iron cookware out there. The 12” Lodge Logic skillet called to my husband, who promptly walked it out to the car. Who would want to carry that around all day!
Even though the magnetic pull of Bath and Body Works Outlet was strong, our next stop was Kitchen Collection. Much larger than the Corningware store, there was lot to choose from at Kitchen Collection. We picked up a bunch of items, including a great $4.99 container set.
Then, after what seemed like days of waiting, we finally made it to Bath and Body Works Outlet. Or I should say, I made it, as my husband and son were more than happy to wait outside!
I got a few things, including a Twilight Woods gift set for 50% off and a really pretty pink pitcher gift set, which I picked up for my sister. I also stocked up more must-have Bath and Body Works items.
We wrapped up the day checking out a few more stores. I was bummed that Harry and David is no longer located in Lodi, but a stop at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory made me feel a little better.
Lodi is located on the edge of Ohio’s Amish country, so you can combine an afternoon of shopping with a visit to nearby attractions, including the Lodi Railroad Museum.
